Since my three daughters were small, I have enjoyed designing and sewing dirndls(German dresses) for them to wear for our local Oktoberest. Since 1990, the folks in our small community have donated their used dirndls and lederhosen to be used by our school children as they dance for Oktoberfest. After examining the many beautiful dirndls, I have taken some of the features in those dresses and added them to mine.
I would like to share some of the useful tips and techniques I have learned with others who would love to dress up for Oktoberfest, or just for fun!
