This is the site of the first commercial oil well in North America in 1858. One Year before the first well in Titusville Pennsylvania. The collection contains artifacts from foreign drillers that left Canada and went all over the world to drill for oil. The grounds contain great examples of the early oil well technology including jerker lines. You will also see tons of oil wells in the area in fields that have been producing oil for almost one hundred and fifty years.
