00:14 - Finish the scoop with gouges of the appropriate curve, cutting carefully the final surface without leaving any tear and scratches
00:24 - Gouge # 4 x 22 mm (60 mm radius)
00:29 - Remove the last margin left along the outline coming up to the chamfer, always taking care of the cleanliness of the cut
00:41 - Gouge # 6 x 18 mm (17.5 mm radius)
01:18 - Gouge # 6 x 10 mm (10 mm radius)
01:56 - Gouge # 7 x 10 mm (6 mm radius)
02:02 - Be careful in the spots against the grain, identifying the best cutting path not to tear the wood
03:10 - Hollow well the area around the eye before cutting the last part, so as to create sufficient space to allow the gouges a better freedom of motion with the right angle
03:26 - Cut carefully the final section of the scoop by connecting the chamfer line and the end of the eye with an harmonic and flowing curve
03:49 - Gouge # 8 x 9 mm (radius 4.5 mm)
03:59 - Use only the gouge # 6 x 6 mm (radius 3.5 mm) for the terminal part of the scoop and for the eye line, so as to end up with a single cut, clean and accurate
04:22 - Gouge # 8 x 9 mm (radius 4.5 mm) for the area below the eye
04:37 - Gouge # 6 x 6 mm (radius 3.5 mm) for the terminal part of the scoop and eye
04:53 - Incise with precision the final part of the eye, maintaining a continuous curve till the end and just turning beyond the vertical
05:11 - Bring the cut slightly forward following well the eye curve radius without flatten it, ending with a single incision of the gouge
05:25 - Meet with precision the final cuts of scoop and eye taking care of the cleanliness of the lines, to maintain a pointed shape and sharp without jagged edges
05:51- Refine delicately the scoop area and the line of the chamfer, removing all the possible irregularities
Gouge # 7 x 10 mm (radius 6 mm)
06:33 - Gouge # 6 x 10 mm (radius 10 mm)
08:13 - Gouge # 6 x 18 mm (radius 17.5 mm)
09:42 - Gouge # 4 x 22 mm (radius 60 mm)
09:58 - Finish with care also the terminal part of the volute, as it will remain finished only with gouges like the rest of the turn
10:33 - With very light cuts give a final clean up all the scoop, using the oblique light with various angles to better see the surface relief
Gouge # 6 x 10 mm (radius 10 mm)
11:17 - Gouge # 7 x 10 mm (radius 6 mm)
11:40 - Gouge # 4 x 22 mm (radius 60 mm)
