Sitting on the Ball is an exercise designed to help release tension in the pelvic floor and draw more blood into the reproductive organs and abdomen.
The first time you sit on the ball, you may be pretty surprised at how much tension you are holding in your pelvic floor. With some practice (and some props), we'll show you how to build up and stay in this posture for up to two minutes.
Good pelvic floor health is very important for fertility, bladder and bowel function, and sexual health overall. The connective tissue (myofascial) in the abdominal cavity is connected to your lower and upper limbs and is very neuro-emotional, meaning that fear/distress, anger, etc., can cause tension to build up.
So hop on a ball and give yourself some self-love and care!
This posture is safe for anyone on the fertility journey, including those going through Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART).
You may find this posture less comfortable during menstruation, but otherwise, there are no contraindications during any part of your menstrual cycle.
The Fertility Ball Method® is a series of self-acupressure exercises (created by Brenda Strong, E-RYT500) that enhance fertility by increasing blood flow and circulation in the reproductive organs, relieving tension in the belly, and lowering stress levels. Many of these exercises target the same acupuncture points used in fertility protocols.
The kit includes two (2) Fertility Balls, a detailed instruction manual for each exercise, and companion instructional videos. Depending on your time (and what feels good on a given day), you can do them as stand-alone practices (one or more at a time) or as a series.
