Pokèmon S/M Remix: Kahuna Battle

Here’s another remix from me; this time, it’s a reimagining of the Kahuna Battle theme from Pokémon Sun and Moon. As a proud Central African, I’ve always been deeply inspired by the traditional drums and rhythms of my culture, so I really focused on bringing that tribal percussive energy into the track. My goal was to blend the intensity of the original theme with the rich, earthy textures of African drumming to create something both nostalgic and fresh.

I also have an exciting update: this September, I’m expecting to upgrade to a new PC, which means I’ll be transitioning from GarageBand to Pro Tools; a major step up and an industry-standard DAW that’s right up there with FL Studio, which I’ve used in the past. While I’m still deeply committed to pushing GarageBand to its creative limits, this move will eventually open up even more production possibilities for me.

That said, as I enter my second year of university, you might notice a temporary slow-down in remix releases starting in September. However, the full shift to producing remixes in Pro Tools won’t kick in until early 2026. Until then, I’ll continue experimenting, learning, and delivering music I’m proud of.
