The EV Shills Are Lying Diesel Isn’t Dying ! 🤡

There’s been a flurry of headlines lately claiming diesel is “disappearing”… and that drivers are about to suffer “diesel range anxiety” like it’s the end of the world.

But scratch the surface and what do you find?

A think tank “report”, selective statistics, and a media narrative that sounds suspiciously like wishful thinking dressed up as analysis.

Because when you look at actual fuel demand data, this diesel panic story starts collapsing immediately:

✅ UK-wide diesel demand is only down around 2% year-on-year
✅ Overall fuel demand is actually UP around 2%
✅ Meaning drivers aren’t all “going electric” — many are switching to petrol or hybrid, not BEVs
✅ And in London? Diesel demand per station is UP… yet we’re told it’s vanishing 🤡

So no — forecourts aren’t about to run dry.
Diesel isn’t dying.
And the truth is a lot more nuanced than the clickbait headlines pretending the EV takeover is inevitable “any minute now”.

If we want a serious conversation about the energy transition, it has to start with serious data — not ideology and selective stats designed to fit a narrative.
