A video inspired and accompanied by Phil Ochs' "The Scorpion Departs But Never Returns," a song itself inspired by the disappearance of the nuclear U.S.S. Scorpion with 99 men aboard in 1968. The wreckage was found in the eighties. The fading echoes at the song's end (not part of the original recording) are an record of the sub imploding (the crew probably didn't have time to drown, but were crushed within 2 or 3 seconds after the hull started to cave in), but of course no civilians knew that at the time Phil wrote this song.
