I recently gave this talk to my Orthopaedic colleagues attending the Imperial College FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics course. The basics of Neurophysiology are explained in around 20 minutes and a few cases are discussed in the final 10 minutes. As an FRCP, I can't really tell you what is reasonable to expect for your FRCS, but this certainly covers the basics, and is a useful starting point to begin learning about this fascinating subject.
I would strongly recommend that you make yourself au fait with the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Severity Grading Scales as it's clinically important and fairly straightforward to practice in your day to day Outpatient clinics.
