In this "Socket Obscura" / "Tool Lore" crossover episode, we look at the Clutch head screw.
AKA butterfly, bow-tie, figure 8 or hourglass screw.
That strange screw that never caught on, but never quite faded away.
Used on Holley carburetors, Chevy cars from the 1940's through 1960's, mobile homes, John Deere tractors, and Ampeg guitar amplifiers.
We'll go over the history of the screws, and what types of tools work on them.
