Dal (Lentil) Recipe || Sindhi Teen Dal || सिंधी तीन दाल बनाने की रेसिपी

INGREDIENTS
100 gms split chick peas
100 gms split black lentils
100 gms split green gram
2 tomatoes finely chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
6 garlic buds finely chopped
1 inch ginger finely chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp clarified butter
Salt to taste
1 bowl finely chopped coriander
Pinch of asafoetida
And water

METHOD
Soak and keep all three lentils for 1 hour. Next put them in a pressure cooker and add water (till it covers the lentils), add tomatoes, ginger, green chillies, salt to taste, red chilli powder (as per your taste and spice requirements) and 1/2 tsp tumeric powder. Now close the cooker lid. Pressure cook it, till it whistles 3 to 4 times
After 4 whistles put off the flame and open it once it cools down and when the pressure of the cooker comes down, open the cooker. Checking the Dal (lentils), if it is cooked well add water (depending on the thickness of gravy you desire), add coriander and cook it till it boils.
Once its boiled well put tempering in it. For tempering take in a small pan 2 spoons of clarified butter and garlic. Fry it untill it turns golden brown. And people who don't eat garlic can also put cumin seeds and asafoetida for tempering instead of garlic
Once garlic turns brown add pinch off asafoetida. Tempering is ready. Put tempering in Dal (lentils). Dal (lentils) is ready to serve. Bon Appetit!
