Over the period the city was called in different names and was mentioned in Skand Puran,Brihad Bhagavadamritam, Mahabharata etc. situated at the bank of Saryu river as narrated by Luv and Kush in the Ramayana. The planned city was amazing with construction and architectural marvel along with it's rich culture, music and her weaponry made it different from other contemporary cities created by Manu Maharaj.
