Water, like time, eats away the memory.
You are alone here - no one will say “get out!”,
And the ginormous chimneys are beckoning...
They are fused with the earth at the foot,
Their tops are stroking the sky with abandon,
They make the age-old pines seem like grass.
In a hundred and fifteen years their army of moss will besiege them -
No one will remember who made them.
