Sometime earlier this year, Max contacted me about playing on four CT tunes; these four would then be paired with the two that I did in 2012 along with two other compositions for a proper full-length debut release entitled 'Planet Geisha'. Although technically a third session, because of the aforementioned inclusion the ordinal number reflects in the title; presented here is the first tune from this most recent session.

This video marks the debut of a few things. Firstly, a fresh paint job in my studio (thanks ma!), my brand new 17"/19" K Custom Hybrid crashes (this is their first session), and an updated mix template courtesy of my longtime pal Taylor Larson. I firmly believe that my kit has never sounded so superb. What this video does NOT mark is a new camera angle, heh; I simply forgot a tripod at Taylor's studio after I cut a record there a few weeks back. One other tune will share this main angle view, but I reacquired my tripod for the other two.

Speaking further about gear, everything I used can be gleaned from my equipment list on my website (http://www.travisorbin.com/equipment...., but I would like to mention that this is also the first session for my 12" A Special Recording hats. However, they remain shut tightly throughout the piece so it isn't the best demonstration, heh. Lastly, I switched out my custom 14" hats for my 15" K Light hats--along with boosting the room mics--for the ending section to provide a bigger, more boisterous soundscape.
