You don't just show up and start building the World's Largest Navajo Taco. Like all good things, it takes practice to get it right. So restauranteurs in Gallup gathered two weeks before their "big event" to build a scale model. This one used just twenty pieces of fry bread as a base. The real McCoy will push 200 pieces, when the builders pile it together on September 10th, 2011.
It is entirely possible that this "small" test version is actually a record-setting taco itself.
