Manthan Shah captivated the audience as he shared his remarkable journey from being a national table tennis champion to pursuing his passion for writing and embarking on a promising academic journey at Oxford, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

From the tender age of 7, Manthan's dedication to table tennis saw him soar to incredible heights, securing the coveted title of twice Under-17 SGFI national-level table tennis gold medalist and representing India with distinction in Australia. However, when his athletic career came to an unexpected halt, Manthan found himself adrift, seeking solace and guidance from the pages of inspiring books.

Over the course of the next four years, Manthan poured his heart and soul into crafting his debut book, "Unstoppable," a powerful testament to his unwavering spirit, published by the esteemed Penguin Random House. As he delved into the writing process, he delved deeper into the complexities of developmental and environmental issues, igniting a passion within him to become a visionary climate-tech focused entrepreneur.

During his captivating TEDx talk, Manthan took the audience on a poignant journey, recounting the pivotal moments that shaped his trajectory. With remarkable courage and raw emotions, he inspired and moved his listeners, leaving an indelible impression of his unwavering determination.
Manthan is the author of Unstoppable, a non-fiction book based on a collection of stories of young overachievers who defied the odds on their journey to success. At 22, he became the youngest writer to publish with Penguin Random House India. In August 2022, he started a one-year master’s program as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Previously, as an undergraduate at SP Jain he was awarded the President's Award, the Dean’s List Award and a Global Citizenship Award for overall excellence. At 19, Manthan created his own podcast, Planet Impact, where he started sharing the stories of social entrepreneurs from around the world. Manthan is twice former SGFI U-17 national-level table tennis champion, and one of the youngest Indians to win the Spartan Trifecta, a global endurance challenge. In September 2023, he will start a MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise and the Environment at Oxford University.
