Easy Drill Guide block v.2 | No need for a drill press (subtitled)

The new homemade drill guide block. I used the first model for 2 years and now updated it. The jigs, tool cart, tool box, etc., etc., were all made with Drill Guide v.1. To be honest, you don't need a drill press. Of course, it is nice to have one, but the drill press has a limit called the throat depth. You can't drill deeper than that. This hand held drill guide can be used anywhere. Designed to hold by hand, so the guides are on each end. This is important and makes the difference from commercial products. Easy to make and costs only a small amount. Most projects can be made with precision using this simple jig.

There are now two types: Type 2-4 and Type 5-6-8. For beginners, the type 2-4 is sufficient. The most used is the 2mm pilot hole and can be used for all hole diameters. And assembly becomes easy. If you want to make a jig, 5mm and 6mm holes and are handy when using machine screws. 8mm holes are used for plugs and dowel joints.

In this video I will show you how to make this jig using a hand saw guide. The hand saw guide is useful when making jigs with small parts. It cuts straight and at right angles, so you can make a jig with high accuracy. There is another method that does not use the hand saw guide. Please refer to the video below.
