How Often Do You Fart? The CSIRO Wants To Know.

CHART YOUR FARTS
How many times a day do you fart? Well, Australia's national Science Agency the CSIRO wants to know. It's part of a campaign called Chart Your Fart, and it's all got to do with gut health. People aged 14 and over are being asked to download the Chart Your Fart phone app, where they can track how much they fart, as well as certain characteristics like stench, loudness, duration and detectability. While the main goal is to find out how much Aussies fart, Dr Emily says the fart data can also tell us about our gut health, and whether Aussies are getting enough fibre in their diets. The study will run into next year, and the CSIRO are hoping to get data on thousands of different Aussie farts.

BUNNINGS
Aussie hardware store Bunnings has hit a bit of a snag with Australia's Privacy Commissioner. It's just been busted for breaching privacy laws by using facial recognition technology on its customers in some stores. Some big retailers use the tech to crack down on theft and safety, but the regulator's now ruled that Bunnings didn't gain proper consent to capture people and their unique 'faceprints'. It's now been ordered to not do it again and destroy all the personal information it collected.

DON AWARD
Noemie and Jessica Fox have jointly been awarded the Don Award by the Sport Australia Hall of Fame. The award is pretty much the top sporting prize in the country, and goes to those whose achievements were the most inspirational of the year. It comes after the sisters' massive success at this year's Olympic Games, where they both took home gold!

T20
Now to our Aussie men's cricket team, which thrashed Pakistan in the final T20 to take the series win! Marcus Stoinis turned up the heat, hitting five 6s and five 4s in an unbeaten 61 of 27 deliveries, helping the team reach its target of 118 in the 12th over.

BABY ON THE WAY
And finally to some exciting news, which isn't exactly about a sporting achievement, but it is about sports superstar Sam Kerr, so we had to sneak it in! Our Matilda's captain and her partner Kritise Mewis have shared in a post to the Gram that they're going to have a baby! Celebrations from her teammates have been rolling in...naww.

SHEARING RECORD
First to a record breaking shearing attempt in New South Wales by pro shearer, Nikki Lyons. In just eight hours, she managed to shear a whopping 395 merino lambs, which is about one every 72.3 seconds! She's been praised for her technique, and I mean you can see it! Just look at how relaxed those sheep are, considering all their hair is being sheared off.

WORLD'S LARGEST DRAWING
Now to the world's largest drawing created by one person. The artist? Fola David-Tolaram. It spans the length of nearly four tennis courts, and is a celebration of Nigeria's diverse culture.

SUPERCAT SHOW
And finally to Rome, where the world's most exotic and rare feline breeds competed to get their paws on a prize at the annual SuperCat Show. They were all scored on their health, appearance, grooming, and personality. But in the end, it was male Bengal General Lee who took 1st prize. I don't think he has a clue what's going on. In fact, I don't think any of the competitors do.
