Here are 3 tips on WHAT TO EAT for a HEALTHY suhoor/sehri that fuels your fast!
Complex Carbohydrates instead of simple white carbs/sugar (More substantial to feel fuller, less likelihood of sugar crashes)
High fibre foods to keep you feeling full longer while fasting and prevent hunger pangs early in the day! (Fruits and veg are full of fibre like apples, dates, spinach - try a fibrous green smoothie for an extra energy boost!)
High Protein to rebuild your muscles (Eg. Yogurt, chickpeas, foul beans, peanut butter, lean meat like chicken, cottage cheese, and eggs are all great suhoor ideas!)
Keep it simple. If you have a habit of missing suhoor, a jar of overnight oats or even a banana and jar of peanut butter by your bed makes it super easy to get some food it. No excuses!
