Ginnungagap (FULL ALBUM) Nordic Pagan Folk

“Ginnungagap” is a Nordic pagan folk album inspired by Old Norse mythology, Eddic poetry, and the ancient worldview of the North, where sound, word, and silence shape the cosmos.

Conceived as a ritual and narrative cycle, the album moves from prayer and invocation, through poetry, memory, gods, spirits, and the wild, and finally returns to the primordial void from which all things emerge and dissolve.

Sung primarily in Old Norse, Ginnungagap draws directly from historical sources such as the Poetic Edda and Snorra Edda, treating myth not as fantasy but as sacred memory and cosmology.

Musically, the album blends Nordic folk, ritual chant, minimalist repetition, and atmospheric textures, allowing words and silence to carry equal weight. Each track functions as a chapter, while the album as a whole forms a complete cosmological arc.

From prayer to poetry, from fire and shadow to silence, this is the sound of the North remembering itself.
