"Zambura" is a middle eastern story, mostly in 5/4. Written by Alon Farber it's influenced by Arab music. "Zambura" means a horn in Arabic.
It begins with a piano cadence (Takasim), followed by a rubato soprano sax solo which leads to the main theme in 5/4.
We have here 3 great solos- piano, soprano and drums exploring Arab orientation
This video was taken in Harmonia Jazz Festival in Joinville, Brzail dated from November 9th 2025.
That show was part of a South America tour of "Hagiga" wuth 8 shows in 3 countries (Peru, Brazil and Argentina)
The band here is:
Alon Farber- soprano sax
Moshe Elmakias- piano
Assaf Hakimi- bass
Jorge Perez-Albela- drums
