Comparison of Gong foil stabilizers V2

I've tried many Gong V2 stabilizers on pumpfoils, so I'm going to share my conclusions.

I'll start with the ones I've used most: the Veloce and the Fluid.
I don't find much difference between them. I tend to use the Veloce when I want to maximize distance and thus reduce drag, and I tend to use the Fluid in waves or wakethieving since, in theory, they're somewhat better in waves. But here, size is more important to me than the model. The 175cm² Veloce is my favorite for long distances; the 180cm² Fluid is very similar in performance, but I think it has a bit more drag.
I haven't been using the 140cm² Veloce for very long, but so far I don't feel it improves my times compared to the 175cm². It might be because winter has arrived and the water is colder, or it might be because, even though it has less drag, I expend a bit more energy to maintain balance.

Larger sizes improve stability, which is good if you're a beginner, but once you have balance control, I don't see them as very useful for pumpfoiling.

One day I tried pumping with a Fluid XXL, and the initial feeling was a lot of lift; it seemed more efficient than other smaller stabs. But when I was approaching the one-minute mark, I realized it had a lot of drag. I felt like it was being held back, and in the long run, I ended up getting tired faster.

I've tried two Sirus stabilizers. The XL lengthens the fuselage, which makes the board feel very flat at dock start (it doesn't rise and fall much), so I think it's very useful for beginners. But in the long run, I have the same problem as with the Fluid XXL: it has a lot of drag, and I end up getting tired faster.
The Sirus L has less noticeable drag but still maintains good stability, so lately I've been liking it for catching waves with the Sirus XL front wing. They combine well for surf foiling because they give me the extra stability I need in waves without sacrificing too much drag to connect with other waves..

Both the Stab Sirus L and XL are also my preferred stabilizers for SUPfoiling on flat water. For some reason, I find them easier to launch the foil and maintain balance at the critical moment when the foil lifts.

Curve stabilizers. I don't find them interesting. In terms of performance and stability, I find them similar to the Veloce and Fluid, but I think that because the tips point upwards, they produce a bit more drag. Therefore, for long distances, I feel the Curve performs like a Veloce or Fluid in a larger size.

Freestyle stabilizers. The main difference compared to the others is that they are shorter at their connection to the fuselage, and therefore, they create the effect of a shorter fuselage (especially in the smaller sizes). If you're not an expert, this will make you feel like you're going up quickly, but also like you're going down quickly, so in the long run, it's counterproductive for pumpfoiling and won't be very appealing. But if you're an expert and can control those sharp rises and falls, they seem to be good for going far while pumping. You'll be at a higher cadence but with less effort per pump. I'm planning to buy one to try this again now that I'm more advanced and see if my back foot gets less tired. I'll let you know when I get a used one.

And in case anyone's wondering, despite the name, these stabilizers aren't good for freestyle tricks; in fact, they're the worst of all because they're so reactive.
