From the band's soundcloud:
"Zbogom, Ajda is a Slovenian post-rock band formed by three students. The music is guitar oriented with addition of piano, vocals and bowing guitar used in some songs. Music is many times accompanied by field recordings of dialog spoken in their native language and ambient sounds.
The band is influenced by artists like Set Fire To Flames, Gregor Samsa, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Mono."

I've had great affection for Statika, the band's first album which can be listened to here: • Zbogom, Ajda - Statika [Full Album]
ever since I first heard it, and I've had Med Zarjo for so long but only just got around to it. The production is almost night and day, Statika feeling like an independent work, with Med Zarjo feeling very professional, refined. It's quite a different turn, and I think it makes Med Zarjo more appreciable on repeated listens, which is something I never found myself considering until listening to these two albums back to back. The lovely Eva returns from the first album, her vocals a highlight for me. The way she and Andi duet on Slutnja is like lovers. Moj oče seems to be some sort of dirge, a true descent downward that fizzles out in static and void. It betrays what the rest of the album will sound like. I was left extremely surprised by Med Zarjo's final track, this truly uplifting piece (at least as far as my perception is going, as I cannot understand the vocals). But as with the stars, beauty is fleeting, the final moments of the track slowing down very obviously with a clock or some type of metronome. It's like being awoken from a dream. Unfortunately, this would be the end of Zbogom, Ajda, and that saddens me. As I said, I have great affection for Statika, and now I have even greater affection for Med Zarjo. I daresay I love this album. I hope the members are doing well, nearly ten years on.
