This intermediate steering shaft is from my 1987 Monte Carlo SS. The coupler boot is broken as is the case for most of these cars. In this video, I disassemble the shaft, degrease the parts, media blast the parts, paint the parts, and reassemble the intermediate steering shaft. I explain what I am doing along the way.
The boot I used in this rebuild is specified for the following Jeep applications, but fits the GM shaft quite well and seems to be a better designed boot than the GM boot:
1976-1983 Jeep CJ5
1976-1986 Jeep CJ7
1981-1985 Jeep Scrambler
