NEW CHANNEL! Dream Deck Build Part 3 - Joists & Noggins go in and it's finally taking shape!

We moved from an established garden full of wildlife to a bare new-build plot — nothing but clay and rubble. This isn’t my day job, but over the past 20 years I’ve built up plenty of DIY skills — and now I’m putting them to the test. Watch me transform this space from rubble to roses. I want to show you what’s possible with a bit of planning, some hard graft, and a lot of passion. I’m creating a garden for wildlife… and for us.

Over the course of these videos, I`ll be
• Installing French Drains to tackle the heavy clay and stop the garden from getting waterlogged
• Building a raised deck and a modern pergola - creating a stylish space to relax and enjoy the view
• Digging a wildlife pond _(complete with bridge) to attract wildlife
• Raising the level of the garden with sleepers to improve drainage & create structure
• Laying a gravel path to connect each area
• Planting a flowering lawn to bring colour, movement and food for pollinators
