The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Rock Carvings of Tanum are a collection of petroglyphs in south-western Sweden. There's a staggering amount of art here, with thousands of images scattered across hundreds of rock panels in a large area, most of them dating to the Bronze Age around 1800 - 500 BC. There's a real variety of subjects here too, which makes for fascinating viewing. Let's check it out!
