Nate lies to Elena about taking a salvage job in Malaysia and reunites with his mentor, Sully, to help Sam. They crash a private auction in Italy to steal a cross linked to Avery's treasure. Here, they encounter a still-obsessed Rafe, now allied with the mercenary leader Nadine Ross.
When the item is unexpectedly displayed early, they improvise a heist during a blackout—Nate cuts the power while Sam, disguised as a waiter, steals the cross. After a fight with Nadine Ross, Nate escapes and rejoins Sam and Sully for their getaway. The crucifix’s clue reveals that Avery’s grave lies in Scotland’s Saint Dismas Cathedral cemetery—not the cathedral itself—proving Rafe’s search has been misguided. The trio then moves to Scotland to find the next part of the treasure.
