Walking Seattle - 3rd Avenue, 2025

I’ve been trying to film all of the downtown avenues every year to document changes. Today we walk 3rd Avenue from the King Street Amtrak on Jackson, and then we continue through Seattle Center, up Queen Anne Hill, and over to the Queen Anne Branch of the Seattle Public Library. 3rd Avenue is dedicated to buses during the day. It has long been considered one of the most problematic streets in Seattle, but it has improved since the pandemic as people return to the office and downtown.

The Queen Anne library started as a Carnegie Library, as is the case with so many libraries around the country. Here’s some history:
