Bike build/test: Lapierre Xelius SL frameset (Shimano 12-speed Ultegra Di2) in Tune Cycles workshop

Lapierre bikes are back in Australia. The new distributor, SRS Agencies (follow on Instagram: @Lapierre.Australia), arranged for a review of a beautiful purple Xelius SL frameset (which comes complete with proprietary handlebars and stem, seatpost, fork and neat Di2 batter housing, plus a few neat extra tools).
Fitted with the new-generation 12-speed Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, the bike – complete with Shimano Ultegra pedals and sealant in the 32mm tubeless Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres – weighs in at exactly 8.00kg.
