It’s well known that Sydney has the least affordable housing but here’s something you may not know: Adelaide became the second least affordable Australian city last year. And it took over from Hobart in second place. Brisbane is third. How? Put simply, incomes in Adelaide, Hobart and Brisbane are not keeping up with house prices, which are being pushed up by fast rising population, and by first homebuyers.
