When I asked my friend Alex if she wanted to go on a last minute backpacking trip, she immediately suggested we try the West Rim Trail in Zion National Park. This is a 15 mile trail when hiked from top to bottom, ending with the well traveled stretch from Scout's Lookout to the Grotto.
We had both been to Zion before, so we were shocked when we didn't see even one other person on the first day of our hike. The views at our campsite were incredible with the perfect hammock spot. We also won the lottery for an Angel's Landing Permit, which was an awesome end to our backpacking adventure.
10/10 would recommend, but watch out for potato hollow... 😅
