I was doom scrolling when I stumbled across an old photo of a waterfall that immediately caught my eye. I did not recognize it, and it looked wonderfully photogenic, which is always a key factor if I am going to go chasing waterfalls. It also appeared to be a decent size and surprisingly close to home. How I had never heard of it before is a complete mystery.
The following morning was free for photography but no solid plan, so this waterfall quickly became the new mission. I also knew of another smaller falls in the same general area and figured that if time allowed, I could hike in and check it out as well.
In the end I visited both, and both were completely new to me. Each one was beautifully photogenic in its own way and offered up some great compositions. Join me on this adventure as I check off two brand new waterfalls just outside Halifax.
