In this entry: Phyl travels across the causeway to Johor Bahru to visit her parents’ new home for the very first time, experiencing first-hand how they live their lives there.

It’s a short but heartwarming four days — we enjoyed the local specialties, had some fun in the pool, visited a famous temple for some blessings, and feasted on some durians (it's the durian season)! Our dear friend Jann jann joins too, making it all the more perfect. This wraps up Phyl’s trip to Singapore and Malaysia, with the gang showing up at the airport to send her off — heading “home” to Tokyo, for the first time.
