Acrylic Pouring Painting Fluid Abstract Art Multiple Open Cup Pours

Hello Friends!
Today we are continuing our open cup series, this time on a black background. This is a 24x30 gallery wrapped canvas from Artist Loft.

My Pouring Medium is:
Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
Golden's GAC800
Paint + a bit of Water
Floetrol

There is no silicone in my paint.

The cells come from the open cup technique. When paint is poured from up high into the open cup, gravity forces it down and pushes the colors under the lip of the cup and 'swipes' it, spreading it very thin so that cells can pop up.

I lay down a black basecoat, then use the top inch of a paper cup as my ring. I pour 3 separate rings, then decide I want to try an experiment.. what would happen if I layered a cup and did a ring pour into the open cup?
So I layer a small cup and pour a ring pour into the open cup. I did not get that immediate cell formation that happens when its poured from up high.. but some cells did show up. When I was editing the video I noticed that a lot more cells appeared in that area a little later on.. so it did actually work, it just took longer without gravity forcing it. I may have to explore this more...

After the cameras were off I put this in my Tuffshed to dry.. and the oddest thing happened! A small cloud of tiny flying things, gnats, no-seeums, starting flying around the surface of the wet canvas! Im wondering if the scent of GAC800 had anything to do with it? I do get the occasional kamikaze bug but this was several of them! I finally took it someplace else to dry and put it under a net, but there are a few 'organic embellishments' that they contributed.. and I added a few lines myself to aid in a flowing feeling..
