Last fall we finished the cement (mortar) scenery on our outdoor railroad. And the final step was adding color and waterproofing. And then we waited for snow...
And the snow came. And more came... And still more. As of a few hours ago we now have the most snow on record here. Over 740 inches (18.8 meters) in the mountains. And it's still snowing.... ANYWAY, that's a good test for our scenery.
NOW, we used several techniques in different areas as a test. And two of the areas came through great. Several areas lost their color. One area totally failed, the cement cracked and failed. So a good test? We think so. We now know what works and what doesn't.
