Ingredients (Makes a 20x20 cm / 8x8 inch tray)
Caramel Base
• Digestive biscuits or graham crackers, crushed: 150 g
• Sweetened condensed milk: 200 g | ⅔ UK cup | ¾ US cup
• Unsalted butter: 100 g | 7 tbsp
• Light brown sugar: 50 g | ¼ UK cup | packed ¼ US cup
• Golden syrup or corn syrup: 2 tbsp | 40 g
• Salt: pinch
Cornflake Chocolate Topping
• Cornflakes: 100 g | 4 UK cups | 3¾ US cups (lightly crushed)
• Dark or milk chocolate: 200 g | 7 oz
• Unsalted butter: 30 g | 2 tbsp
• Golden syrup: 1 tbsp | 20 g
• Optional: 1 tsp vanilla or a pinch of sea salt
