Biscocho

Biscocho is our version of the Italian biscotti. Biscotti means twice baked just like biscocho. Traditionally, biscocho was made from left over bread which were sliced. Margarine was brushed on the bread slices and then dipped in sugar and baked again until toasted. This is also a good way to recycle and preserve the left over bread. Now, biscocho is rarely made from left over bread. Breads is now made to make the biscocho. Biscocho is a nice snack to have. It goes well with coffee too. I hope you will enjoy my version of the biscocho.
