Probably the finest classical musician in India today, Mudgal is a musician and composer known for her lyrical luminosity to her singing. The depth of her music is attributed to her master teachers, notably Pandit Ramashreya Jha the distinguished composer, musician, scholar and teacher of Hindustani classical music. This concert was upstanding for its purity of raga and heritage through the raga and powerful passionate compositional choices. Par excellence, Mudgal sings midnight ragas, rarely sung due to venue restrictions in both London and India. She is accompanied by Pradhan and Nayak who provide the most harmonious accompaniment to bring out the best of each other – the perfect musical team.
