In this segment of "Go See It...", the Fire Bureau's Colin Cumesty visits with Mr. Rick Fogarty, Shop Foreman/Service Manager for Mayo Garden Center (West Knoxville) to learn about lawn mower safety.
Always read thoroughly your mower's owners manual to understand the routine maintenance that you can do at home and what you need a certified vendor to do. Fuel your mower before you mow every time, in a well ventilated area and remember to clean the mower free of grass and debris after your done and before you store it every time. And don't forget personal protective gear: closed toed shoes, long pants, gloves, eye and hearing protection.
