Happy 30th Birthday, Earthbound! ♥

The past couple of years have been really hard for me, so I haven't had a chance to finish the kind of tribute that Earthbound really deserves. But I found this half-finished cover of Smiles and Tears that I worked on back in 2016, and I'm resolved to finish it properly sometime soon, and in the meantime I wanted to put SOMETHING together because I owe this game so much!

So here, a little preview of music to come, and a little retrospective of some happy Earthbound moments in my life. For all of you who have been with me since the beginning, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you. And if you're new here? Well, welcome! I've changed a lot over the years, but I'm still glad to be here and still grateful for the incredibly kind and supportive community I've found here.

You may notice that you haven't heard these lyrics before! That's right, there will be lyrics for the entire song, eventually. Enjoy.

This particular vocal track is from 2016; the final version may not sound the same when it's done, but there's something sweet and sad and lovely about hearing a version of myself from back then, preserved in a long-lost moment.
