I demonstrate how straightforward much of the work is and outline the required tools and materials, describe some good practices while working, and note things to be careful of. This video comprises the first of two streams of this work, covering the initial disassembly, cleaning, bore oiling, and start of the polishing of the keys. In a second video, I pick up after the keys have all been polished and reassemble and fully grease the instrument to finish the rebuild.
The full process took about 7.5 hours, with an hour or more of which was because of describing the process or demonstrating things, and with about 2.5 hours worth of off-camera polishing work which happens between the two streams.
