Wanderers Golf Club was host to the Start of the 2026 Sunday League#2 Season with 70 excited and eager Social League Golfers ready to make their mark in the year long Tournament.

Wanderers know for its tight treelined Fairways and emphasis on course management saw many Ducks negotiate the Par 71 layout being able to scoring points consistently and it showed in the Live Scoring with the Top 13 finishing Even Par and better.

There were many Ducks in contention come the final stages of the Tournament. Barry White reached his final hole (Par 4 - 9th) on -6 but a wayward Tee shot would result in a closing -4 (40 points) setting the Club house lead on -4 (40 points). Barry’s round featuring a Birdie on the Par 4 - 8th and Par 5 - 13th.

Peter Zachariou surpassed Barry to put one hand on the trophy concluding his round on -5 (41 points) continuing his good start to the 2026 season. Peter carded 22 points on the first nine, including Birdie on the Par 4 - 3rd Hole.

The day belonged to Jacobus Erasmus, playing Wanderers for the first time. He eclipsed Barry and Pater after dominating his back nine (1 to 9) accumulating 23 point for an excellent one under par 35, to go with his 20 points on his starting nine holes. Jacobus carding four Birdies in his round (Par 4 - 3rd, Par 4 - 9th, Par 5 - 10th and Par 3 - 12th) to take the Victory.

Congratulations Jacobus for Winner his 1st Duckhook Title after a host of 2nd place finishes in 2025. Well Done to all the players who competed and making the start of Sunday League#2 a success.
