Today we focus on breathe, and what better practice than Pranayama.
In this video, we practice pranayama—the ancient yogic art of conscious breathing. Prana means life force or vital energy, and ayama means to expand or regulate. Pranayama teaches us how to work with the breath to influence our nervous system, energy levels, and state of mind.
In today's practice we will focus on:
Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)
This balancing breath helps regulate the nervous system by harmonising the left and right sides of the body and brain. It’s deeply grounding, calming, and supportive for stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue.
Bhramari (Bumble Bee Breath)
A soothing, vibrational breath that gently stimulates the vagus nerve. The soft humming sound helps quiet the mind, release tension, and guide the body into rest-and-digest mode.
Together, these practices invite you to slow down and return to a regulated nervous system ~ reminding your body that it is safe to rest.
**As always please listen to your body, if you feel uncomfortable during the practice please come back to a steady breath through the nose. **
And if you enjoyed this practice please give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel to stay up-to-date on new videos!
With softness & space
