The BookTube conversation around anticonsumerism, book hauls, and “owning too many books” has become increasingly black and white — and that’s a problem.
In this video, I respond to a recurring type of comment I’ve seen under my anticonsumerism video and others like it: the idea that enjoying books, buying the occasional special edition, or finding comfort in physical media is automatically immoral or shallow.
