(68th Merdeka Special) KONE MiniSpace MR [Express Lifts to Hotel Lobby] @ Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

These are the high-speed KONE lifts located at a recently opened high-end hotel inside the tallest skyscraper in Malaysia.

Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, located on the higher floors (levels 75 - 114) of the 679-meter Merdeka 118 skyscraper, opened in early August 2025 as the brand's 50th hotel. Guests enter on the lower ground floor (LG) needs to take an escalator to the lower ground mezzanine (LGM) for the express lifts to the reception on the 75th floor which takes about a minute. The hotel features 252 rooms including 27 suites located on levels 100 - 112.

The hotel section is on the lower deck occupying three out of five double-deck units excluding one VIP lift. All five upper decks are used for office section serving the ground floor (G) and high zone lobby (level 76), while the other two lower decks are used for associates' lift (serving from B1 up to 118). The lifts here use KONE's destination dispatch system, with a bell-like chime, dark matte cabs, and two LCD screens on each panel with one for indicators and touchscreen, limited to alarm, door controls, and accessibility buttons.

At a speed of 7 m/s, they weren't slow for a distance of 71 floors (~315 meters), but they could have been faster at least 10 m/s, which is the maximum speed designed for this skyscraper. The ride quality was excellent for a high speed lifts, with nonexistent vibrations and its acceleration, 1 m/s² is quick but smooth.
