Join us on the stunning Southsea seafront in Portsmouth for a first-time visit to this beautiful coastal parkrun.
Despite nursing a high hamstring injury, we take on the flat, fast out-and-back course along the Esplanade — and witness something special unfold.

Starting in the narrow, roped-in funnel (they're serious about time order here!), we set off into the crisp January air. The course takes you along the picturesque seafront with views across the Solent, turning at the halfway point before heading back to the finish. With a 13-minute split at the turnaround, the pressure is on.

The final kilometre brings the drama — kilometre four clocks in at 5:04, and suddenly a massive PB is within reach.
With 800 metres to go, then 400, then the final push to the line... the result? A stunning 25:28 finish — over a minute faster than before!
