It is challenging for gardeners in Texas because the growing season is broken into two short seasons by the hot and long summer. An unexpected light frost could kill all summer plants even though a real freeze is still one or two months away.
Here at East by West Farms, we're exploring how a light frost affects our garden and sharing essential tips for frost protection to extend the growing season. Creating a microclimate garden using cold hardy plants and existing strucutres are two effective ways to protect our plants from light frost. These techniques help our garden thrive despite challenging weather conditions. 🌱
