Buko Pie also called as cocout pie is a traditioal Filipino baked which consists of a flaky pie crust combined with creamy coconut filling.
Ingredients:
For the Pie Crust
•2 cups All Purpose Flour
•pinch of salt
•3 tbsp Powdered Sugar
•1 egg
•3/4 cup Cold Milk
•10 ml Vanilla Essence
•50 grams Butter
Chill for 30 minutes
For the Filling
•380 ml Coconut Juice
•1 cup Young Coconut (shredded)
•1/2 cup Sugar
•240 ml Condensed Milk
•5 ml Vanilla Essence
•1 cup cornstarch dissolve with
•1 can water
Brush pie with egg yolk
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes
