This little one was very weak. She couldn't even suckle and had a difficult time standing. sleeping away from mom. Mom (Dotty) is usually very good with her kids. But, as animals often do when they have a very sick baby, they will sometimes abandon them. That seems to be what was going on yesterday, so I was concerned and brought the baby in for the overnight hours. I have never done that before. However, it was necessary this time. We are now reunited with mom for the first time in 12 hours and it looks like she is accepted her right back. I will monitor this throughout the day and see if it's necessary to bring her back in . Ideally she will remain with her mother from here on.
