After taking a couple months off to move and finish the new music rooms, I finally had time to record this song. I always loved the underground levels of Super Mario 64 and I especially loved the music. I thought this would be a interesting song to cover because it's quite simple and ambient but it can also be upbeat and funky. I tried to keep that in mind for the beginning of the song while adding my own darker sound near the end. I've always been fascinated with this level mainly because of Dorrie... When I first played this level as a kid Dorrie creeped me out for some reason. There was something about big sea creatures that was creepy to me. It seems funny now that I lok back on it because Dorrie is just a harmless floating creature that swims in a circle while slightly opening its smirked jaw every now and then. There is nothing scary about it! Yet every time I saw it I got the creeps. So when we see Dorrie for the first time in this video the music represents my initial "fear" upon first seeing it. Oooooo ahhhhh it's sooooo scary Haha!
This is the first time i've made a video in my new music room which also works as a green screen room. I will upload a video of the process that went into making that room soon! I hope you enjoy!
