Mipro successfully completed the extensive Lääne-Harju railway modernisation project in Estonia. This is a major milestone in signalling system modernisation in Estonian railways. Estonian Railways, AS Eesti Raudtee (EVR), officially put into operation the centralised traffic control (CTC) system on December 4, 2023, concluding a large-scale, multi-year project.
The project included, among other things, a complete railway automation design including traction calculations to optimise the capacity of the busiest line in Estonia. In addition, the implementation of a new automatic protection system, with four-way signals, allows for shorter waiting times and denser train intervals.
